As part of the ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking in the digital age, the INTERCEPTED project has released a new campaign spotlighting the crucial role of multi-agency and public-private cooperation in tackling Trafficking in Human Beings (THB).
In this latest video campaign, Mr. Mpratsikas from the Hellenic Police breaks down the complex law enforcement and judicial challenges surrounding digital evidence in human trafficking cases. He highlights the technical and legal hurdles of converting online intelligence and flagged digital content into fully admissible court evidence. Furthermore, he emphasises the critical need for seamless cross-border coordination across differing EU legal frameworks, alongside a standardized, common reporting mechanism to connect public authorities, law enforcement, and private sector partners for a swift collective response.
